The South Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (SFAEP) was incorporated in 1991 as a local Chapter to the Florida Association and National Association of Environmental Professionals (FAEP/NAEP).
Our GOAL
at SFAEP is to enhance, maintain, and protect the quality of the natural and the human environment! To form and operate an interdisciplinary professional society of persons engaged in environmental management and assessment and committed to improving the ethics and standards for evaluating, reporting, and reviewing possible impacts of proposed actions upon the socioeconomic and natural environment (including the costs, risks, and benefits of such actions).
The SFAEP is a multidisciplinary professional association of Environmental Professionals from a variety of backgrounds including but not limited to biologists, scientists, geologists, environmental engineers, environmental attorneys, wetland scientists, botanists, planners, and many more. Our SFAEP members (you!) serve as industry professionals with a regional focus in South Florida.
Our MISSION
at SFAEP is to provide all members the opportunity to participate in a range of FAEP activities, to actively expand membership, and to include the widest range of views and concerns of professionals from various backgrounds engaged in a variety of environmental fields.
The SFAEP offers educational and professional growth and development opportunities such as workshops, "lunch & learn" luncheons, public outreach, conferences, social networking events, and relevant industry hands-on trainings - many of which are conducted in the field.
